Welcome, I am Mattea
I offer companionship, support, and care for people in times of change, transformation, and transition - in the formats of bodywork, massage rituals, doula accompaniments, workshops, and emergent group spaces.
Essentially, my work is about meeting life through the body, in the present moment, with gentleness, curiosity, and energy.
My offer is to accompany and support you on your path, and, when needed, to help you find the right kind of care or connect you with a trusted network of professionals and practitioners.

It is an additional, complementary service of resource, and empathic companionship for those wishing to meet themselves, their body and environment from a different perspective and be held in a more personal way.
We are
bodies - shaped by
our identity, environment and our relationships.
As we explore the relationships with ourselves, our bodies, each other, and the world around us, we meet reality in its felt sense, in its unique complexity. Connecting what is separate, bridging worlds, and exploring edges is the current that has moved me through my own life journey.
My work holds the intention of cultivating a language of care and connection by inviting tools of self-inquiry, nature-based practices, ritual, embodiment, and collective inquiry, to see life from many angles as possible and find belonging in complexity.
By crafting spaces of care, somatic bodywork, doula work, and other spaces (rituals, ceremonies and emergent dance spaces) my intention is to support people in transitional stages of life, accompanying them into deeper layers of relationality with themselves, their bodies, their loved ones, and the beyond-human world around them.
My service is to accompany and support - not to diagnose or treat. I accompany, slow down, and support life force and resource to flow into your system first - rather than solving 'problems'. When appropriate, I assist people finding complementary support that fits their situation, drawing from a trusted network of practitioners and facilitators working in related fields.
This is a LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and people of all identities, bodies, and backgrounds friendly space - that offers reduced pricing spots for BIPOC, trans*, and non-binary people, people with disabilities, and single mothers/parents, as a gesture of responsibility, care & support - feel encouraged to reach out.
BODYWORK & MASSAGE
I offer transformational bodywork and massage that create a space for deep relaxation and support you in gently reconnecting with your body, senses, intuition, and creativity, an exploration of touch that nurtures, restores, and invites aliveness and simplicity.
DOULA SERVICES
I accompany birth, loss, and life transitions with presence and care, offering emotional and embodied support on the journey of listening to, learning from, and trusting your body.
I also offer pregnancy massage and postpartum bodywork to support relaxation, integration, and grounding.
FACILIATION
I create and guide experiences where people can slow down, explore embodiment, and practice new ways of relating, with themselves, with one another, and with nature.

About
My work continuously grows from an ongoing exploration of what it means to be human, how we relate to ourselves, to one another, and to the living world. With academic roots in social & cultural anthropology, different types of massage and bodywork, conscious relating somatic awareness modalities, herbalism, group and ritual facilitation, and nature-based practices to re-connect, as well as being part of decolonial spaces of unlearning and critically reflecting on whiteness and systems of opressions - I have walked many different paths of learning and listening, to the body, to the land, and to the stories that shape us.
As a practitioner, I value spaces that invite acceptance, simplicity, and gentle, embodied presence. My background in massage and somatic coaching, with influences from craniosacral wellness treatment and energy work, meets a continuous inquiry of how to give and offer space so life can find it's, rather than interfering.
I see care work as a form of activism: tending to what is fragile and emergent in our human experience, while moving deeper questions of separation, displacement, belonging, truth, and transformation. At the moment my path has naturally expanded into offering birth work and becoming a birth doula, and I also accompany people at life’s thresholds of change, grief and loss - until the end of 2026 for reduced price.

For doula accompaniment, I offer a free online or in-person meeting to get to know each other and explore your needs. From there, we can schedule a first session or plan for longer-term support.
If your situation requires other forms of care, we’ll have a call to assess it together, and I can forward you to a trusted professional or network of practitioners.
